Gina Carioni · Director

A lifetime in education.
A personal approach to learning.

I created ProLanguage Academy to bring together the work I care deeply about: teaching Spanish, developing meaningful curriculum, and helping people communicate with greater confidence.

Every learner brings a different reason for being here. My role is to understand that reason and create instruction that gives it direction.

Experience across classrooms, professions, and stages of life.

My work in education spans nearly five decades, including Spanish instruction in secondary, adult, university, continuing education, and professional settings.

My teaching background includes experience at Miami Dade College and Carrollton School of the Sacred Heart. I have taught AP and IB Spanish, worked with learners from beginner through advanced levels, and developed specialized curriculum for professional programs.

Across these settings, one belief has remained central to my teaching: learning a language should help people communicate, connect, and participate more confidently.

Learning should feel relevant to your life.

We connect your learning to the situations, interests, and goals that brought you to Spanish. I take time to understand your starting point and adapt instruction to your needs.

Conversation, culture, literature, film, and authentic materials can make Spanish a meaningful part of how you explore the world.

The personal attention of a teacher. The scope of an academy.

ProLanguage Academy grew from a desire to create an educational home for both individual learning and larger professional programs.

Today, that includes private and small-group instruction, specialized Spanish training, and curriculum development for organizations and institutions.

The work can take different forms. The commitment remains the same: thoughtful preparation, relevant instruction, and genuine attention to the people learning.

I would love to hear what brings you to Spanish.

Whether you are returning to learning, strengthening professional skills, or planning a program for others, tell me what you have in mind.
